Junior | Section 6B
hometown: Willington, Connecticut
major: Math
minor: Sustainability
favorite things about PE:
I love PE's location, I think pyros are a super fun and unique mascot, & I'm a huge fan of our elounge culture -- the later at night the better :)
message for new pyros:
My biggest tip is to take a second every day to be grateful that you're on campus! Whether it's appreciating the beauty of the dome as you walk by or making sure you soak it all in during your first football game as a student, you'll want to remember these four years as best you can.

Junior | Section 7B
hometown: Cumming, Georgia
major: Mechanical Engineering
minor: Energy Studies
favorite things about PE:
volleyball court, our fiery theme, the location, and the community/PEople
message for new pyros:
Moving into PE might seem scary, especially if you don’t know much about dorm communities at Notre Dame, but PE really is my home away from home. Everyone here is so kind and willing to help you out. We all support each other, and we can’t wait to meet you! Feel free to ask anyone a question or for help. We were all new pyros once too!

Junior | Section 7B
hometown: Fort Wayne, Indiana
majors: Accountancy & ACMS (Applied and Computational Mathematics and Statistics)
minor: Collaborative Innovation
favorite things about PE:
accidentally spending hours talking to people in the elounges, dorm room movie and game nights, and the perfect location
message for new pyros:
Everyone is looking for a friend!!! While many first years quickly become friends with other new pyros in their section, this isn't the case for everyone! My closest friends in my first year (and still now) lived in different sections and were in different graduating classes than me!

Sophomore | Section 6B
hometown: Aspen, Colorado
major: Political Science & Global Affairs
favorite things about PE:
the location on campus and the people!!!
message for new pyros:
Reach out to people in your section and other floors in PE! For some, you will find your inner circle within the pyro community. Everyone is lost the first year, step out of your comfort zone and I promise you'll never regret it! Also as much fun as being in a new environment is, please be safe and take care of not only yourself, but the people you become close to.

Junior | Section 6A
hometown: Phoenix, Arizona
major: Computer Science
favorite things about PE:
all of the friendly/amazing people & the annual Mario Kart tournament
message for new pyros:
Don't be afraid of new experiences and meeting new people! So many other students will be in the same boat as you, so take a small leap of faith and start a conversation with someone you've never met, because that's where some of your best friendships will come from.

Sophomore | Section 8B
hometown: Virden, Illinois
major: Mechanical Engineering
favorite things about PE:
the PEople, Mod Quad location, 6th floor elounge, family room
message for new pyros:
Try things you normally wouldn’t; you might be surprised what you end up liking to do on campus! You have the freedom to try all sorts of clubs and activities without completely committing yourself right away. While you’re at it, you’ll be meeting many different people on campus who may become some of your closest friends. But always remember that your fellow pyros are just a knock away!

We've been through it too, and we're here to support YOU- even after Welcome Week!
